He was and is an amazing father. Lilly captured his heart from the moment they first met. The first time she smiled at him, he was literally weak in the knees and almost fell over. There is just something special about daddy's and daughters, isn't there? When people ask us if we are going to have more children, Richard's answer is "yes, as many as it takes until we have another little girl."
Richard thank you so much for the man that you are. You are so kind and loving. I appreciate your wisdom and guidance in all aspects of our life. I am sorry that Father's day will not be what we expected it to be this year, but please know how much you are loved. You will be with your little "Bops" again someday.
Lilly is such a doll!
ReplyDeleteI got all sad when I looked at all the Father's Day cards yesterday. My hubby will get some from his boys but never again from his little girl. :-(
Prayers and hugs to you, and I hope you get that little girl soon!
I remember seeing those sweet pictures for the first time, Richard you are a precious Daddy and were such a strength to your little Lilly and still are to Jennifer. I am so thankful that God brought you and Jenn together to be the perfect couple to each other and such a great team as parents. Love you both and of course thinking about you and praying for you this weekend. Love, Jamie
ReplyDeleteWe love you all so much. You are an amazing man Uncle Rico. Thank you for your example of love and grace.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet tribute to your man on a special day. It sounds like he is an amazing father! Happy Father's Day, Richard!
ReplyDeleteWe continue to pray for you both!
Richard and Jennifer, my extended prayers go out to you as you go through this very difficult day. Your little Lil is smiling down on you with her precious face and recalling what a special daddy you are! She provided you with only a brief "practice" of what you are destined to be! You are the father of the year my dear and I love that you were given but a tiny taste of it. Celebrate your accomplishments, face your fears and mourn your loss, as it is all a process that God and life has dealt you -- and will forever make you the incredible human being that you are and will become. All my love, Aunt Cyndi

ReplyDeleteThinking of you both. I hope you two continue to do as well as you can through this.
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteThis is Kelli Hooper from Amarillo. You may not remember me, but we were in high school together. I randomly saw your blog on Google Reader - small world!
I am so sorry for your loss and everything you have been through. It is amazing to see how the Lord is leading and restoring you and your husband in this time, as only He can. I live in Dallas as well, so maybe we can meet for coffee or something! I would love to get to catch up. Have a great week, you will be in my prayers.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your journey. Surviving life's curveballs is what this journey is all about isn't it? We are making lemonade from lemons over here.
ReplyDeleteGodspeed.
I am pregnant with a little girl, due in 6-7 weeks. I have felt so overwhelmed lately trying to "get ready" for her arrival and prepare for the unknown. God has reminded me through your post that it isn't about the showers, the pink stuff, or the nursery. I can't imagine losing our little Annerson Grace and we don't even know her! It gives me hope & courage to face the emotions my husband and I are going through as expecting parents when I see what you two are going through. I see God's strength and peace through your lives and I thank you for being so transparent to others. You have truly blessed us.
