Here is an old church in St. Augustine. Richard spent a lot of time to capture the perfect picture for his sister. She collects church photos.
Here we are at Crabby's in Daytona. We went in search of great seafood and found it. The navigation was our life saver!
We rented a Pontiac Solstice. We loved the convertible, but it was small! I sat on my suitcase on the way to the resort! It was so fun to drive up the coastal highways in this car.
Here is a self portrait we took after dinner at the resort. We were being resourceful.
The resort was beautiful. Here is the view out of our hotel room. The golf course on one side, beach on the other. It was truly paradise!
This is also looking out of our window back at the main resort area. We lucked out on a secluded room near the beach. The grounds were amazing though.
We visited an old fort in St. Augustine. It was built in 1565 we think. We enjoyed learning the history and seeing how the military was back then.
My sweet husband finally agreed to go have sushi with me. Here is the proof. I think he liked it okay and was even making plans for what he would try next time! Thanks honey, that was so sweet!
I want to thank Richard for this really special trip. We got some much needed R and R and made some great memories.
Now it is time to get to work, we've got lots of painting to do. The reno pictures should start getting exciting!

I live about an hour from St. Augustine so we've been there many times as an adult and as kids. We even used to go to the Fort on field trips. I love all the little shops on the cobblestone streets. It's a very charming place. Glad you had a good time =)

ReplyDeleteHey Jennifer! I just found your blog through another friend's blog and realized we went to A&M together and were both in Tri Delta's PC 99. I just read your story and was moved to tears. You guys are amazing and your love for Christ and desire to seem Him glorified through your daughter's life is so moving. I will keep you and your sweet family close at heart through prayer.
