GIRL!
We are so thrilled! We would have been happy either way, but a girl is truly an answered prayer.
We are still grounded in our excitement. I am not going to run out and buy all of the pink things I see (like I did last time). I may even avoid the color pink altogether! I am going to continue to look for safe, healthy products for this new baby. My New Years Resolution is even to have a "Healthy Home." This concept of being "green" is new for both Richard and I, so any advice is appreciated.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'll add you to my list I've got going right now on my blog. I have 24 friends that are pregnant. I consider you a blog friend, so I'll add you. Do you have a projected due date?
ReplyDeletePraying for you!
Hey congratulations! We've been praying for your family for a very long time and are thrilled with your happy news! There is a product called Angel Guard...I think that's the name. As soon as I saw it, I thought of you. Let me know if you have trouble finding it and I can send the link.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations again! =)
YEA!!!! That is so exciting!!!! I am so thrilled for y'all!!!! We will continue praying for you! So fun!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I am so happy for the two of you and will continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteHello and Congratulations...I will continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy for you and your baby girl.
ReplyDeleteAs far as wanting advice on "green" living....my family adopted a total organic diet about 2 years ago and the results have been simply amazing. If you took a look at the ingredients in everyday items that you eat, you would be blown away at the amount of chemicals, additives and preservatives contained in them. Our motto is...if you can't pronounce it, you shouldn't be eating it!
I feel so much better about giving our 3 children food that I know is the utmost quality. Our twin boys (now 11) were born 3 months prematurely and have suffered with several health issues throughout their lives. Since our new Organic change, their health has been STELLAR and I really think knocking out the chemicals from their bodies had alot to do with it.
Hope this helps a little and Congratulations again! Have you chosen a name yet?
Congrats! How wonderful..a little girl!
ReplyDeletePraying for you and her health!
How exciting!!! Be sure to check out Pottery Barn Kids. They have come out with several organic cotten crib sets. They have the most adorable Dr. Seuss that I wish we could have gotten for Ian's room. Oh well, they have it in toddler bedding too...maybe his next room. Love you guys and we'll continue to pray!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, how exciting!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I didn't think you would be sharing the info so it was fun to see your blog!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! That is very exciting news!
ReplyDeleteWe have a monitor called the Angelcare monitor. It has a pad that you put under the crib mattress and it monitors the baby's breathing (it also works like a normal monitor). We had a few false alarms with it...but we were able to use it until our son was about 8 months old. At that time, he started rolling around too much and so we got false alarms every night. You can read more about it here - http://www.angelcare-monitor.com/products. I bought it online at Target.
Hey Jenn, I'm a pledge sister who's been following you guys a while. My heart jumped for joy knowing you guys are pregnant again!! :)
ReplyDeleteA book I loved reading was Raising Baby Green...
http://www.amazon.com/Raising-Baby-Green-Earth-Friendly-Childbirth/dp/078799622X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1231197802&sr=8-1
... it had so much info in there that I would have never thought about until after reading it.
I will be continually praying for you guys!!
Sincerely,
Lea Johnson Arnold
Congratulations! I read an article awhile back that dark tones like browns, oranges and darker than lime greens are the wave of the new baby rooms. I think a Tiffany blue would look great in a girls room too of course with ribbon and bows to make it girly. As far as a green tip how about cloth diapers. I have done so with both mine and love them. if you want to know more send me an email at mlguy@comcast.net I would be happy to share the basics of a cloth 101 with you and share some of my favorite vendors with you. Remember cloth is nicer on the bum than paper. Grin. Congrats and prayers, ML
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS! Girls are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for quite some time, but you don't know me. Praying for you and your baby girl!

ReplyDeleteCongrats! I'm actually a friend of Meetmeattheclubhouse, and have been looking in on your from time to time! I'm truly so excited for you and your husband. You and your family have been and will continue to be in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteWell your emotional friend is, well - emotional! I have prayed since the beginning not for a boy or girl, but I have prayed thanking God that he already handpicked the child that would be perfect for you right now and I am so happy for you and Richard, I know you proceed guarded and that is okay, we all love and support you each step of the way. I will email you a green idea I have on baby food. Love you and baby girl peanut and Richard.
ReplyDeleteWow, congratulations!! We will continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats...I know you may wonder who I am, but I went to RHS (a grade lower than Richard). I am so happy for you both. Luckily there are tons of things you can do now to be “greener” or just healthy in general. You are very lucky because now most stores have begun selling BPA (Bornfree is a great brand) free bottles and such for baby. Babies R Us has gone BPA free on all infant items. Looks like you have been given great advice from many other readers. Good luck and I along with my sister will be praying for you and Richard.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations... I continue to be so blessed through your story. Thank you for sharing it. I could not be happier for you.

CONGRATS!! I was so thrilled to see the big news that you guys are expecting...that is SO EXCITING! I will continue to keep you all in my prayers!
ReplyDelete(oh yea, I found you through Amanda R.!)
Wonderful news! I am just SO happy for the two of you. I also believe in providing a much more green living space for my 2 and 3 yr olds. It just makes perfect sense when you see how much contact they have with the floors, walls, etc! Sending my best your way....
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Jennifer! Your daughter will be such a blessing. Sara Snow of Discovery Health has many excellent tips for green living, eating, cleaning, etc. If you haven't already, Google her!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. We are truly so excited for y'all!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats. I am really happy for you guys and wishing you a wonderful safe pregnancy!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! I am so excited for your family. I have been following your blog and praying for your family for a while now. I went to PTCC .... Have met you there, you prob don't know me. Our parents know each other. I use the same Angelcare monitor Denea was talking about ( I got it from her recommendation when her son was born). I love it!! It is nice to have the assurance with the breathing monitor. We keep a fan going in the room at night to help circulation. And use a humidifier at times during the winter when the heater is on. Also, I love the "sleep sack" instead of a blanket. Hope you are having a great pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteGod bless!
Tyler Hobson (use to be Sweney)
Congratulations...what a wonderful blessing!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Congrats you guys!
ReplyDeleteI have been praying for you guys, and following the blog since I recieved the prayer request last year. God is truely amazing and I have to add, I love the bathroom!!!
ReplyDeleteOne green tip is to make sure that your lightbulbs do not need special disposal. Many flourescent lights are not supposed to be sent to landfills due to a higher mercury content.
Praying as always,
Megan
