Baby Mia is home and doing great! There is so much joy back in our home again and our hearts are full. Thank you for your prayers because we have an overwhelming since of peace with our new angel. God is so good and we have faith that he will see us through the next few months. Little Mia only likes to sleep in our arms, so if anyone can offer good advice on how to get them to sleep in their own bed, we are open to suggestions! Here are few more pics...

The picture of you each holding your baby girl . . . woooow tears! So beautiful, and thanking God for your amazing peace. I think she looks like you Richard in these pics. Love to you three!
ReplyDeleteps- you know my advice already Jennifer but it isn't fun.
She is so cute! I can't wait to hold her again! My advice as far as non co-sleeping goes is fold a receiving blanket in to a square, heat in the microwave for 30 seconds, put it on Mia's tummy, swaddle her extra tight. Worked like a charm for Lola! One of my postpartum nurses showed me this little trick when Lo was in the hospital and screaming her face off and then suddenly there was silence. Miracle.
ReplyDeleteI left a note for Mia on our blog page for you to look at . . . Love, Lainey
ReplyDeleteShe's BEAUTIFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! She is beautiful! She looks just like you Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I am so happy for you and Richard. I can't wait to see more pics of Mia!
ReplyDeleteSOOOO beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are home and doing good! Good luck on the sleeping! :)
Hey, this is Berkeley (Reeves) Boren (Mandy's friend, Cameron's sister). I follow your blog and we have been praying for you guys. So happy for you! We have a Mia too and have had the same problem with her wanting to just sleep in our arms. It took a little time (and every day is different) but one thing we do is to swaddle her really tight. There is a video, "Happiest Baby on the Block". It teaches you how to swaddle really well. She sleeps much better that way. But she would still just sleep with me if she had it her way! Blessings on your family. Mia is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteShe is just so precious!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would suggest a swaddle and here is what I used.

But maybe for now that's where she belongs, she is only days old and slowly she will ease into it. Also try putting her into a sleep positioner.

I've been following your story for a few months now...and I am so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteFor now, enjoy the cuddling. That's the safest place for her. You are so blessed! You have some time before she HAS to sleep in a bed...I mean, kindergarten is only 5 years away, so I'd say, enjoy those 5 years of holding her! HA! LOL!
Congrats! She's gorgeous! Enjoy every minute!!
Beautiful..sweet baby girl! I am so thrilled for you guys. Praise God for this blessing of life! Love you--can't wait to meet her!

This snuggle nest worked great in our bed for the first month...then we transitioned to the bassinet...then crib! Good Luck!
