Mia is already one month old!
She had her check-up today and is tipping the scales at 9lbs and 13 oz! That is almost a 2 pound gain in 2 weeks. Everyone always wants to know if she is eating well and the answer is YES! Her favorite place is still in my arms. Richard asked her doctor today how to break that habit and the doctor said to just keep holding her. Mia 1 - Parents 0! I might be creating a monster, but I can't bear to make her sad, so in my arms it will be for now. She is in her sling in my lap as I am writing this post! Below are some pictures of our sweet baby girl.
Mia and "Baby Hop Hop", her organic Lovey
Mia on her playmat. She is still trying to fugure it out.
This face cracked me up! She was not loving the camera.
Proof that I have layed her down to sleep before, if only for a moment...
She is a thumb sucker! I am trying to get her to take a pacifier instead, but no luck so far!
Happy 1 month picture! She didn't feel like posing, but I just had to photograph her outfit.

ReplyDeleteI had problems with my second and thumb sucking, so I wanted to encourage you that you can still interfere :). Mine is 8 months now and he's just pacifier now. Our daughter was simple with both starting and weening and I hope he's the same. One "green" comment, I use pure, real rubber ones and they stock them here in the DFW babies r us. Natursutten is the brand. We still use the 0-3 month because the next size is huge. Anyway, goodluck with that.
I'm praying for your peace and continued faith in God for you guys!!!
Beautiful little one you've got!!

ReplyDeleteHi my name is Sarah and I have been following your blog from my sil's blog that is friend's with Sherry. I have been praying for your family and so excited for your beautiful arrival, Mia so precious. I just wanted to let you know about a wonderful site that you may already know about. It is to celebrate the lives of our heavenly babies. I lost a baby back in 2003 and this has been such a wonderful gift to have.
ReplyDeletethe site is "To write the names in the sand". The lady lost her son who was born sleeping. She lives in Australia and personally goes down to the beach and writes your child's name in the sand to honor them and celebrate there life and give praise to God for them. It is a free gift from her heart by the way.
I hope it was okay to write to you.
