We LOVE our neighborhood. It is so family friendly and feels like a really small town even though it is in a big city. I have the annual job privilege of coordinating a neighborhood wide picnic on Memorial Day. We host a parade and then everyone heads over to the school playground for an afternoon of fun. There are hotdogs, sodas, DJ, bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists...tons of great stuff!
We truly feel blessed to have found such a great community to be a part of AND it comes without a commute for Richard like we used to have. Double score! Here are some pictures of the fun day.
Large tent set to shade everyone. It was HOT! We serve over 1,000 hotdogs every year. |
