We loaded up as a family this weekend and headed out to enjoy the big city we live in. Our plan was to go to the Science Museum to close out our "Ocean" week theme, but everything around there was WAY too crowded. Plan B? Explore downtown with the kids.
We happened upon a quaint urban park in the middle of downtown. We were so city prepared that we had to find a meter with time on it to be able to park. I know...what we were thinking to be downtown with out meter money. OOPS! It all worked out though. We enjoyed a lovely picnic at Main Street Park. It had a splash area and playground too. The kids loved it and so did we. We even had enough meter time to walk the streets some too. I think I am inspired to venture out into more uncharted areas of our great city!
