We have been making great progress on the laundry room makeover. Here is my
original vision for the room. Richard installed the countertop this weekend, painting is complete, and I have started accessorizing a little. Projects still left include a new valance, backsplash, install cabinetry, install hooks, and decide on light fixture. Okay, well now that I typed it out, it seems like we have a lot left to do! Here is what we have done so far:

My calendar got a facelift with some new fabric and paint. It use to look like this. I also hung my thrift baskets. I think they are going to be really functional! |
|
I cut some labels out of scrapbook paper and clipped them on with mini clothes pins. |
|
Sneak peak at the blue door! That is all you get to see of it for now! |

DIY laundry art. I found these frames on super clearance at HomeGoods. I was going to paint the glass with chalkboard paint, but I found a nice surprise when I took them apart, the backing was black cardboard! I just wrote with chalk pin right on the cardstock. It is far from perfect, but I like it's whimsy. |

Here is a sneak peak at the countertop. I REALLY love it. It is an island size butcher block from Ikea and it worked out perfect! You have wait to see the completed project though....coming soon. |
