Additional Rights for California Residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA (the “CCPA”), gives California residents rights beyond the nationwide baseline above.Note on applicability: This section is provided regardless of whether we’ve independently confirmed that the CCPA’s statutory thresholds apply to us.
- Right to know the specific categories and sources of personal data we collect, and our purposes for collecting it.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data, including for cross-context behavioral advertising, and out of automated decision-making technology (ADMT) that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. [Action item: This link needs to route to a working opt-out mechanism before it appears on the live site — an unhonored opt-out link is the single most common basis for CPPA enforcement actions.]
